The exhibition of photographs by Julian Hargreaves, " Eccellenza Italiana ".

 

Italy and Tunisia, so close, so connected...Only 140 km separate the points of these two countries, which share so many similarities and are steeped in a common Mediterranean culture.

 

With this exhibition, "Eccelenza Italiana" by Julian Hargreaves, a series of portraits of prominent Italian personalities, we get a little closer to this beloved Italy, and we soak up the time of a few weeks of its unique glamour and charm.

 

Julian Hargreaves has been photographing Italian talent from all walks of life over the past 5 years, who have excelled in film, music, sports and fashion.

 

While some of these personalities are internationally known, others may be discovered in this exhibition.

 

Each portrait tells a special story: from director Paolo Sorrentino taken moments before walking up the steps of the Cannes Film Festival for his film "La Grande Bellezza" to singer Laura Pausini floating in an artificial pond for the shoot of her latest video "Limpido" to the ultimate influencer Chiara Ferragni posing as a Barbie Doll.

Julian Hargreaves is a 44-year-old Anglo-Italian photographer.

 

His work includes celebrity portraits, fashion shoots and art projects.

 

He has collaborated with prestigious magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, Grazia, AD and fashion houses such as Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo etc..

 

Among the celebrities he has photographed are Richard Gere, Katy Perry, Juliette Binoche, Nicole Kidman and many others.

 

Some of his portraits appear in books such as "20 years of Dolce & Gabbana", "Faces of sport" of Giorgio Armani editions etc.. In 2016, an exhibition was dedicated to him at the Villa Medicis in Rome."
