Insaf Saada's new solo exhibition, "Légèreté Métallique".

Imagine a world without insects.
Without flies swirling in your face.

Without cohorts of ants running around, busy.

Without buzzing bees in the heart of flowers, offered.

Without butterflies with spread wings, so light.

Without them, nature would be quite different and so would we.

And let's take a closer look...

Preciousness of the eye with its multiple facets similar to those of a diamond, delicacy of the legs, which seem to be such a fragile thread, geometry of the wings with subtle veins, ... the incredible lightness of the being!

This world, this nature has accompanied Insaf Saada for a long time. The earth colors, natural materials, this essential need to return to the essence of things are the common thread of the work of this artist.

Her line does not bother with embellishments but notes on the blank canvas the only sign of the artist's passage or of one of these small beasts that she has tamed.

Here she confronts the rigidity of metal with the lightness of a butterfly, a bumblebee, a fly, a dragonfly or a bee. They land delicately on a table where, at their touch, the wood becomes metal.

They cover the wall, wings open, these butterflies of a satin and deep black in which our glance dives to find other colors.

The queen is enthroned in the center, the bumblebee flies away and the ants go astray.

Thanks to a great technical mastery, Insaf Saada simplifies the forms, offers us the essential and, of this cold, heavy metal, emerges as by magic a whole world inhabited by charming creatures which seem to us suddenly essential.
